A teen living in Wellington is looking for a committed person to spend his weekends with. This intelligent and funny 14 yr old with autism is looking for someone who can presume competence and be a great buddy and support person. He communicates well in a unique way and needs a buddy/communication partner to embrace his style to help him get the most out of his days. A genuine interest and willingness to learn is essential.  

He is looking for someone on Sundays 10 –2pm to hang out with, share his sense of humour and his favourite activities. He enjoys nature walks, going to the library to find books on his favourite subjects like history and Te reo and is a huge fan of general knowledge quizzes, music and podcasts.  

Full training is given to someone who is open minded, positive, confident and has initiative. You need to be comfortable to help with personal cares and be physically and emotionally strong. You need to be able to step in when he becomes dysregulated and remain calm, again training is given.

He is looking for someone to build a fun and trusting relationship with.
