Part time after school and weekend (Orewa)

A fun job supporting a young girl with a disability has become available in Orewa. We are looking for an energetic person to support a 7yr old girl. Mum needs some help after school for when her daughter is having her therapy sessions at home. This may suit a physio or occupational therapy student interested in learning more, but this is not essential. Mum will teach you how it works, and you will also get to attend her therapy sessions nearby to learn more. The after-school hours need someone to come and entertain and support her daughter. A calm, patient and playful person with initiative to engage and create a positive learning environment would be great. She loves Peppa Pig (who doesn’t?!), tickles, bubbles, going for walks and listening to stories. A cute, adorable and typical 7yr old in many ways who needs some extra support which includes personal cares and eating.  

Hours are after-school 3.15/3.30pm start time for 3 hours 4 days a week (flexible on which days). Half a day at weekends hours/days negotiable, ideally at your place but not essential and extra hours in the holidays. Ideally you are a local and can commit to long term.
